[Yun-jeong Lee, Edaily] An industry leader in healthy food products for children, Eyoubox announced on the 6th that it has signed an MOU with Hangeuru, a Korean producer of organic shiitake mushrooms, and launched Eyou Pesto, a product with shiitake mushroom as one of its ingredients.

A maker of natural snacks for children, Eyoubox works with certified nutritionists to produce snacks containing essential nutrients for children as a part of its effort to form healthy snack culture, dietary habits and values. Two varieties of Eyou Pesto aim to increase vegetable intake not only for children but for the whole family as well, expanding their value of balanced and proper diet to the whole family's table.

Signing the MOU with Eyoubox is Hangeuru, the first Korean agricultural corporate company to cultivate domestic organic shiitake mushrooms using a mushroom soil method, which also serves to improve farmers’ profitability and work opportunities for retired workers and those returning to the countryside.

One Eyoubox employee said, “Eyoubox started its business to help parents meet their children's nutritional needs and the educational institutions provide their students with quality snacks to bolster their learning and playing. We are glad to help children eat more vegetables of excellent quality through Eyou Pesto by working in cooperation with Hangeuru, the manufacturer of domestic organic shiitake mushrooms.”

Eyoubox is currently crowdfunding Shiitake Cashew Pesto using Hangeuru's organic shiitake mushrooms on Wadiz until December 6.
